More than 2000 students currently attend classes held at the Faculté de Philosophie et lettres.
An outstanding example of interpretative science, the faculty organizes training programs stretching from linguistic semantics to languages and translating,taking in history and historical criticism, art history, archeology, music and, of course, literature.
This common denominator and the fact that the various types of teaching complement one another so well mean that we are able to offer society attractive training programs, socially and culturally-relevant research and high quality services.
In the past, most graduates aimed to go into teaching. Today, this is no longer the case. Practising human sciences, a skill imparted to future graduates in the faculty's classes, helps students develop the kind of skills in adaptation and flexibility which are so called-for in many 21st century professions.
