Interdisciplinary Research Center on Families and Sexualities

The Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Families and Sexualities (CIRFASE) was founded in 2009. It is a legacy of the former Institute for the Study of Family and Sexuality (IEFS), which was founded in 1961 and promoted teaching and research on family and sexuality. Drawing on this legacy, the CIRFASE is a leading research centre for issues related to families, couples and sexualities. The CIRFASE is a member of IACCHOS (Institute for the Analysis of Change in Historical and Contemporary Societies) and counts around 40 effective and associate members.
