The Center for European Studies is a study center anchored within the Political Science Institute (‘Institut de Sciences Politiques Louvain-Europe’) of the UCLouvain. It is dedicated to the study of a variety of topics related to European integration, such as European public opinion, European identity, the history of the European integration process, the analysis of European policies, intra- and interinstitutional decision-making in the EU, and the EU’s external relations.
The Center for European Studies maintains close links with the InBev-Baillet Latour Chairs on the relations between the EU and Russia and the EU and China, the Robert Triffin Chair on the international monetary system, and the Institute of European Studies which coordinates the university’s study programmes on European integration.
The Center’s staff includes scholars (academic staff, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students) who are engaged in multi-disciplinary approaches and aspire to contribute to research of international excellence in any of the above fields.
