UCL researchers reach 50 Gbps over a single TCP connect

INL-2
Christoph Paasch, Gregory Detal and other ICTEAM researchers have pushed TCP to new limits by achieving 50 Gbps of goodput over a single TCP connection.
This new record was obtained by running their Multipath TCP implementation in the Linux kernel on two HP servers each with 3 dual-port 10Gig cards from Intel. They optimized the current Multipath TCP implementation so that it was able to send a single data-stream at the speed of 51.8 Gbits/second ! Additional information and all source code to reproduce these results can be obtained from this page.
