Louvain Railway Research

Railway research involves many fields of engineering and science. At the iMMC, several labs are involved with this problematic and have developed specific modelling tools and experimental techniques to that end, both at the vehicle and infrastructure levels. For instance, research teams of the iMMC are thus able to carry out in-depth study of the dynamic behaviour of a full train as well as quantifying the fatigue resistance of track components. The goal of these new webpages is to present our research tools, skills and experience in the field of railways and to provide an entry point to any research related to this challenging area.
