Private-sector funding

UCL works actively with businesses, both through established programmes and on the basis of own funds.

Private-sector funding accounts for between 10 and 12% of UCL’s overall funding pot.

Cooperation can take various forms:

  • research contracts and patronage agreements;
  • analyses;
  • use of the University’s equipment and infrastructure;
  • expert opinions;
  • consultancy;
  • secondment of researchers;
  • continuing education;
  • licensing.
