Funding for researchersBefore considering applying for a particular research grant, the first step is to find a supervisor who is willing to accept you as part of his or her research unit. You can identify teams working in your research field via the thematic brochures or the “UCL research inventory” tool. We also suggest you browse the web pages of the UCL Research Institutes and Research Centres. There are a number of options for funding international mobility programmes. Depending on your profile (your country of origin, your field of research, how long you wish to spend at UCL, etc.), you can submit an application to a variety of organizations offering financial assistance.
Once you’ve made contact with your future UCL supervisor, UCL's Euraxess Service Centre will be able to help you identify the financing schemes for which you may be eligible and can also help you prepare your application in certain cases.
