Certificates and other documents

Once your registration has been accepted and registered, the Office of tjhe Registrar will:
  • send you e-mail confirmation
  • send you by post (or hand over to you personally) the related official documents (registration notice with a bank transfer slip and proof of your student status (two copies) for public transport travel), together with a document (called "Activation of your user account ") containing information on how to activate your UCL user account.
These documents will also provide details about receiving your permanent student card (including sports membership if requested) and proof of your student status, which can be used for the purpose of obtaining:
  • child benefit,
  • health insurance,
  • study grants,

 and for international students,
  • proof of student status for the local council.

At your request, the Office of the Registrar can issue a copy of this proof or provide other types of certificates (for institutions, employers; to obtain certain discounts, etc.).

Examples include:
 
  • a pass certificate,
  • a certificate of attendance,
  • a certificate confirming the full university curriculum,
  • a certificate for the accreditation of periods of study for the purpose of calculating pension entitlement.


The faculties are authorized to award degree certificates and diploma supplements (and supplement appendices, if applicable).
