Bachelor's and Master's Programmes

The institute collaborates with the Louvain School of Engineering (EPL) to provide teaching in the curricula of engineering and computer science.

The bachelor's programmes are taught in French, master's programmes are taught partially or entirely in English.

Members of the institute are involved in following programme committees :

the programme committee related to the bachelor's core curriculum (BTCI) which manages the common core courses of the bachelor in engineering;
the programme committee in electricity (ELEC) which manages the major in electricity for bachelors in engineering, the minor in engineering sciences: electricity and the master [120] in electrical engineering;
the programme committee in electro-mechanical (ELME) which manages the master [120] in electro-mechanical engineering;
the programme committee in applied mathematics (MAP) which manages the major in applied mathematics for bachelors in engineering, the minor in engineering sciences: applied mathematics and the master [120] in mathematical engineering;
the programme committee in biomedical engineering (GBIO) which manages the minor in engineering sciences: biomedical and the master [120] in biomedical engineering;
the programme committee in computer sciences (INFO) which manages the major in computer science engineering, the minor in engineering sciences: computer sciences, the master [120] in computer science engineering, the bachelor in computer sciences, the master [120] in computer sciences, the master [60] in computer sciences, the minor in computer sciences for bachelor students (not engineering) who want to open their curriculum to computer sciences, the preparatory year to the master in computer sciences for bachelor students from high school who want to complete their training at the university.

PhD and Doctoral Studies

The administrative management of the PhD is conducted by the Doctoral Committee.

How to undertake and complete a PhD in the Institute ?

Preliminary contact to get the agreement of a Professor, to find a supervisor and a subject. Interested students have to contact teachers according to their research areas.
Application: it needs previous agreement with a supervisor from the UCL
Registration as a student at the university,
Doctoral training,
Confirmation,
Private defense,
Public defense.

Regulation of doctorates requires doctoral candidates to pursue a doctoral training by participating in certain activities offered by graduate schools, presenting their research at conferences, publishing in international journals, etc.
