The university reform, also known as the ‘Bologna process’, has changed the way higher education is organised. It was during this reform that the minor in
culture et création was launched: the idea was to come up with a programme available to students from all faculties who wanted to make their own cultural practice part of a course of theoretical training and innovative projects that promote culture. The minor is linked to the major to form the
baccalaureate (first cycle) which lasts three years; the minor forms one sixth of the
baccalaureate.
Specific minor classes
- Analyse des pratiques culturelles (Analysing cultural practices)
In this seminar, students work on their cultural activity, which forms the subject of description, analysis and critical reflection.
- Séminaire ‘artiste en résidence’ (‘Artist in residence’ seminar)
Workshop examining artistic practices. To give an example, Pietro Pizutti is proposing a seminar based on the question: ‘Sommes-nous capables de nous épanouir sans exploiter, de réussir sans écraser?’(‘Can we achieve fulfilment without exploiting others; can we succeed without trampling our way to the top’?) which is due to culminate in the staging of a play.
- Théories et pratiques culturelles (Cultural theories and practices)
This class is a theoretical extension of the seminar on analysing cultural practices.
